Honduras Mission Trip

Gather. Equip. Scatter.

Reunir. Equipar. Dispersar. (R.E.D.)

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:5-9

Purpose

To be a source of support and encouragement to the church leadership of the Honduras Lutheran Synod by walking alongside key leaders to strengthen their faith, their ministry, and their churches through Scripture-centered teaching and trusted Lutheran and pastoral counseling resources.

Goal

To strengthen and equip church leaders of the Honduras Lutheran Synod—particularly those engaged in youth and young adult ministry—by cultivating personal discipleship practices rooted in Scripture, addressing present-day mental health challenges using pastoral and counseling resources, and developing a shared, sustainable Youth Ministry Vision Plan.

Objectives

+ To encourage personal faith growth and discipleship practices of church leaders through Scripture-based worship, prayer, and reflection.

+ To gather as brothers and sisters in Christ for mutual encouragement andlearning grounded in biblical teaching.

+ To utilize Scripture and materials from Lutheran Pastor Scott Abel to support leadership formation, discipleship, and youth ministry development.

+ To inform and teach church leaders about mental health issues affecting youth, young adults, and lay leadership using resources developed by a Pastoral Counselor.

+ To provide practical workshops integrating faith, theology, and mental health awareness for ministry contexts.

+ To equip and support active youth ministry events in partnership with local leaders.

+ To guide and assist church leaders in forming a Youth Ministry Vision Plan that is biblically grounded, culturally relevant, and sustainable for the Honduras Lutheran Synod.

Honduras Mission Trip | June 2026

“‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’” Mark 1:17–18

Join us in June 2026 as we partner with the Honduras Lutheran Synod to support and encourage church and youth leaders through Scripture-centered discipleship, mental health workshops, and hands-on youth ministry. This mission trip is about walking with, not doing for—gathering in faith, equipping leaders with practical tools, and scattering to serve where Christ sends us. Prayerfully consider being part of this journey.
